The world we live in is a result of constant changes. The world is changing very rapidly with the development of technologies. What might be there one day is never there the next day. Therefore, it has become a vital importance to provide IT knowledge to the children of contemporary world. In Mercy Education Institute, ICT is taught as subject from Grade 6 onwards with practical knowledge. The IT lab available in Mercy Education Institute is not a fully-fledged one to cater all the needs of our students. There had been a need to upgrade this. Having understood this the Tasmina Foundation in America has donated 15 computers to upgrade our IT lab. This addition, without any doubts will enhance the quality of education in our institute. The Director and staff with the students of Mercy Education Institute thank all members of Tasmina Foundation and especially the Sri Lankan coordinator Moulavi Sufiyan who has voluntarily contributed to bring these computers to our institute.
