This course is conducted with the approval of the Distance Learning Centre (DLC) functioning under the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and following the course outline issued by DLC.
Entry Criteria
Students are registered for the Diploma / Higher Diploma programs those satisfy the following criteria:
- The applicant should
- have obtained at least three C passes (Language, English & Mathematics) and three S passes in G.C.E.(O/L) examination in one or more sittings. AND
- have obtained 3 S passes in the G.C.E.(Advanced Level) examination in one or more sittings in any stream OR
- have obtained 12 credits in the G.C.E.(A/L) examination in one sitting in any stream, the 12 credits will be considered in any combination as below. Credit values will be distributed based on grading as follows: (A- 10 Credits, B – 8 Credits, C- 6 Credits & S – 4 Credits)
OR
- The applicant should
- have obtained at least three C passes (Language, English & Mathematics) and three S passes in G.C.E.(O/L) examination in one or more sittings. AND
- have obtained any other educational / professional qualification /degree foundation program deemed equivalent to the qualifications referred to in paragraph A(ii) above, and that qualification produced by the learner to be accepted by the Board.
Course Duration: 18 months (During weekends & holidays only)
Evaluation: Formative – 40% and Summative 60%.
